Hospitality Internships in Denmark

Denmark's hospitality industry offers international students the chance to gain hands-on experience in hotels, restaurants, and tourism — working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.

The Hospitality Sector in Denmark

The hospitality sector in Denmark covers everything from hotels, restaurants, cafés, and bars to other food and service businesses. It's an important part of Danish business life, employing both Danish and international staff.

To work in hospitality, you must meet these conditions:

  • You must be at least 18 years old, but not older than 35, at the time of application.
  • The traineeship must have a professional connection with your education. It must complement the education you have started or completed in your home country, or in another country where you have resided legally. You must document your education with a list of the subjects you have studied, attached to your application in a certified translation.
  • If your education has been completed, it must have been completed recently. If your degree was completed more than 18 months ago, we will assess whether there is still a connection between your desired traineeship and your degree — including your work experience since graduating, which you'll need to document.
  • Salaries must be paid to a Danish bank account at a bank operating a legal banking business in Denmark. Salaries cannot be paid in cash or paid abroad.
