I am exceedingly glad about the prospect of undertaking an agricultural internship in Denmark. It is with great excitement that I write this letter to express my interest in a cattle farm in Denmark. My basic understanding includes studying animal nutrition, animal production, pharmacology, animal hygiene, and welfare, emphasizing hands-on practical experience. Currently pursuing Livestock Studies, I believe that my academic foundation is well suited to the internship program's requirements. As a young man with great English communication skills, good manners, an adaptable mindset, and a strong desire to join forces within a team or independently, I am eager to immerse myself in Denmark`s advancements in sustainable cattle production. The opportunity to explore their methods and results is very appealing to me. I am confident that a livestock farming internship in Denmark will be a good fit for me as it will provide me with valuable practical skills, theoretical knowledge, and exposure to different cultural perspectives. These are all very essential to my future career in animal husbandry. This internship presents a crucial opportunity for students from Cambodia, such as myself, to acquire new competencies, broaden our horizons about livestock, and cultivate attributes like patience and a profound sense of accountability essential for professional success in our future careers. Moreover, what I expected from the program will give me significant insights into the relevance of sustainable agriculture techniques in solving global food security issues. In addition, as a former tourism student, I would like to acquire agricultural knowledge centered on livestock farming and contribute to the improvement of agritourism in Cambodia. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Cambodia Agropreneur Business Academy and the Livestock Farm in Denmark for offering me the brilliant chance to take part in this program. My name is Thoeun Sothea, and I am currently 27 years old. I am healthy both physically and temporally. I hold an IELTS certificate as evidence of my English proficiency and I have completed my previous bachelor's degree in tourism management from a public university in which I have gained valuable experience and knowledge. My family lives in Kampong Thom province in central Cambodia, which is well known as a major growing area for cashew nuts and peanuts. My family was involved in agricultural activities such as growing various crops, fishing, and especially livestock farming to support our daily livelihood. Currently, I am 3rd year student at the Cambodia Agropreneur Business Academy, specializing in livestock. Overall, agriculture plays an integral role in strengthening the Cambodian economy. I have always had a passion for working in this sector, especially with a focus on livestock. I decided to study agriculture focused on livestock because I was aware of the challenges faced by Cambodian farmers, including a lack of livestock knowledge, and reliance on traditional techniques, technology, and human resources. As part of my studies, I would like to dive deeper into livestock science and address topics such as animal nutrition and health management. My main goal is to acquire the necessary skills in the program to effectively deal with challenges and improve problem-solving skills. I strongly believe that by gaining understanding and practical experience in livestock production through this program, I will be able to better serve Cambodian farmers in my community. Additionally, the dual learning experience of theory and practical fieldwork will enable me to make a meaningful contribution to Cambodia's agricultural sector.
