Firstly, I would like to widen my knowledge about my field in agriculture, particularly pig farming. Denmark is known as a forefront country of agricultural technology, utilizing modern techniques and innovations, so I can gain valuable insights and hands-on experience. Secondly, Denmark is often referred to as the happiest country in the world with high quality of life and work-life balance. I really want to explore Danish lifestyle, culture and traditions, gain experience, ideas and life skills that I will surely need in the future. Beside that, this is an opportunity to not only improve my English skills but also my personal development. Interaction day-to-day in an English-speaking environment greatly enhances language proficiency. Adapting to new work environments, especially in a different country, requires flexibility, independence and problem solving. Therefore, choosing Denmark for an agriculture internship provides professional growth and a holistic living experience. I hope I have many memorable moments after a year and a half of internship in Denmark and it can open doors to future career opportunities for me when I return to Vietnam. I decide to work on a pig farm in Denmark. Because pork is a popular food in Vietnam. However, most people in my hometown raise pigs on a small scale. The efficiency is not high and difficult to control disease. I really want to apply modern methods and advanced technology to improve productivity.
My full name is Nguyen Pham Bao Ngoc, but you also call me Nori. I am 25 years old. I was born and grew up in Can Tho, it is a beautiful city located in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam, known for its floating markets and peaceful atmosphere. My hometown is an agricultural region. People live mainly by farming and animal husbandry. I graduated from Can Tho University with a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology. Because of my love for plants and animals, I would like to apply new techniques to the developing needs of agriculture and environmental conservation. Currently, I continue to study second degree in Veterinary Medicine to learn more about livestock and prepare for the upcoming internship in Denmark. People usually describe me as a careful and diligent person at work. I am also an optimistic and easy-going person so I have good friendships. I am interested in exploring and challenging myself. I believe that in the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity. In my free time, I like painting and hanging out with my friends to reduce stress. Additionally, I am an animal-lover and I am raising three dogs. To me, they are loyal friends who can ease and comfort my worries. My family raises many chickens to sell in the market, I usually feed and collect eggs. In addition, we used to breed pigs, with small quantities of ten pigs. I also helped my parents care for them, such as by feeding, cleaning. In my free time, I prepare their food from vegetables, rice to save money, but it takes lots of time. However, the layout of the cages is not suitable for the management, and the total time to raise them is too long. Leading to low profit and low efficiency. Therefore, it motivates me to learn and change. I am studious in many matters; if I have a chance to work on your farm, I will try my best to complete the job well. I really hope to work on your farm.
