ANIMAL SCIENCE
To enable me to practically apply my animal science expertise, incorporating modern concepts and techniques in animal production and management.
My name is Enoch Djie Bahara, a Ghanaian by birth. I am approximately 165cm in height, and my weight is in the region of 71kg. I was raised in a family where livestock production is the norm and practice. In my family, piggery, goat, sheep and poultry farming are undertaken, and this has enabled me to gain the required skills to raise these farm animals. And also a few years spent at Kwadaso Agricultural College have enabled me to gain the skills required in the rearing of many animals. In caring for these animals, l have developed the skill and know-how to ensure proper sanitation of these farm animals, ensure proper feeding of these animals, and ensure proper care and health management of these animals, both the young and the adult. I have learned over the years to ensure that there is a daily routine of activities like sweeping the rooms of these animals, washing them, and cleaning their habitats. Also, I ensure that proper provision of feed and water is given to these farm animals. Provision of better feed to these animals improves their health conditions and growth, which increases market value. Practically, l can medicate cows and pigs, diagnose their diseases, feed them with the recommended rations, keep their environment clean, maintain standard hygiene, provide necessary housing when necessary and above all, assist in weighing, to monitor their growth. The professional and academic ultimate of my life is to reach my goal as an industrial farmer.
